Inspect elevator belt & cups. Replace bent or broken cups and
tighten cup bolts.
|

Check elevator and conveyor belts for cracks, checking or fraying,
especially in the splice area.
|

Check tail pulley and tail bearings, adjusting belt tension as
required.
|

Check the head pulley and the head pulley lagging.

Check and lubricate head bearings and gearbox. A good time to change
the oil in your gearbox.

Check V-Belt drives and/or roller chain drives for proper tension.
Replace worn chain, sprockets, belts or sheaves.

Check electric motors, lube motor bearings, remove dust and other
debris accumulated around the motors.

Check gates, chutes, distributors and trippers to be sure they are
clear and in good working order.
|

Run your legs and conveyors, first empty, then loaded to be sure
everything is in good working order.
|

Be sure all your belt conveyor idlers and return rollers are turning,
lube as needed.

Run screw conveyors empty to assure they are open and turning freely.
|

Check motor starters, disconnects and fuses. Be sure you have extra
fuses and that your starter contacts are not burned or pitted.

Caulk all the bin, spouting and other joints. Keep the grain in and
the water out.
|

Check your pneumatic systems. Drain the water and replace FRL's
(filter-regulator-lubricators) as required.

Check and replace air and hydraulic hoses if checked or frayed. Check
for leaks too.
|

Replace the filters on all your hydraulic power supplies.
|
|

Check the wire ropes and cables supporting legs, dryers, covers, etc.
Your cables should not be rusted or frayed. Don't forget to check your
cable clamps while you are there.

Check your moving wire ropes on hoists, etc. to be sure they are
lubricated and do not have broken strands or crushed sections.
|
|

Check flexible ducting and replace damaged sections. Replace vacuum
hoses.
|
|

Be sure dump pits are dry and clear of debris. A cover on dump pit
grates will help keep them clean.
